The Assumptions:

> It takes about four times as long to prepare to examine an opposing party for discovery as it takes to prepare for a client's examination for discover.

> Up to a fifteen day trial, it takes one day to prepare for each day of trial. Trials longer than fifteen days take the same amount of time to prepare for.

> During trial, most lawyers will work a 10 hour day.

> In addition to lawyer's fees, the client will also be responsible for covering the lawyer's disbursements, such as photocopying costs, and may also be responsible to cover fees charged for the use of the court and potentially the other party's costs. Court fees range from $312 to $624 per day.
