The Explanation:

> "Gross income" means a person's gross income calculated using the additions and deductions required by the Guidelines. For most people, this will mean total income before taxes and other deductions are taken into account.

> The amount of spousal support this calculator needs is the total amount of support paid each month, not the total annual amount.

> Remember that the amount of the special expense which is shared is the net cost of the expense, after all deductions or other contributions are applied to reduce the cost of the expense.
